October 18th was cold, wet, and rainy. Most of the day was spent with me rearranging the schedule we had talked about back and forth for weeks just to avoid the thunderstorm that was coming. But Hailey trusted me to get her photos that turned out so so special. This wedding day was the perfect example of expect the unexpected. Pretty much every wedding vendors motto. As a wedding photographer, its my job to look everywhere and snap everything, yet stay focused on the big moments as well.
The rain held off until groomsmen were just about done with their photos. We ran back up to the getting ready suites where I had time to get more detail shots and final moments of Hailey before walking down the isle. By the time we got inside in places for the ceremony it was a down pour outside. But everyone was able to make it inside and the ceremony started.
After more photos, we headed over to the reception space for everyone to eat, listen to speeches and experience the most magic evening. I glanced outside before cake cutting and there was the most gorgeous rainbow with pink and purple skies with an orange hue everywhere. I told Hailey and Liam I needed them outside ASAP and we ran down to the pond to let them take a few moments alone together as husband & wife before the send off. I love my job and how even though you can do almost a year of planning, some weddings will just still just surprise me.
